Challenge
At the University of Wisconsin–Madison Libraries, I worked alongside librarians and subject matter experts to translate complex historical research into engaging public exhibits. Each project required a thoughtful visual strategy that balanced academic accuracy with public appeal. I led the creative direction, designing exhibit banners, bookmarks, digital signage, and promotional materials, and contributed to the development of an online version of each exhibit to extend its reach beyond the physical display.
Results
The exhibits successfully engaged a broad campus and community audience, transforming archival research into accessible stories through thoughtful visual design. The digital extensions of the exhibits allowed the content to live on beyond the library walls, supporting continued educational access and outreach. This work deepened collaboration between design, research, and public engagement, reinforcing the library’s role as a cultural hub.
